Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen Gear Checklist

Compare weapons and armor by vocation, enhancement, relevant stats and weight before replacing equipment with a new relic appraisal result.

Quick Answer

Check vocation eligibility, relevant stats, enhancement and weight. A higher isolated number does not establish that an item is better for your character.

What should I compare first?

  1. Eligibility: inspect vocation requirements before spending resources.
  2. Role: compare properties relevant to the skills you use. Do not assume every offensive number contributes in the same way.
  3. Enhancement: a fresh find and a developed weapon represent different investment.
  4. Survival: inspect armor properties together, not just appearance or one resistance.
  5. Weight: review the equipped and carried load before an expedition.

This is an editorial checklist based on equipment fields in the collected references, not a current-version item test.

Should I replace gear immediately after appraisal?

Keep the item long enough to compare it deliberately. If it looks promising but is not ready, note what enhancement requires. The appraisal guide explains why a video’s reward does not guarantee your next result.

Which build should the item serve?

Use the Thief plan for close-range damage and control, or the Spearhand plan for mobility, protection and stamina decisions.

Why is there no universal best-in-slot table?

The material mixes reference lists, older advice and individual expansion playthroughs. It does not establish a consistent tested comparison across current equipment, enhancement paths and vocations. A definitive ranking would hide those gaps. Exact locations, costs and patch-specific comparisons need further checks.
